mission statement

Lirios del Valle is a ministry for young mothers with children to experience the word of God and to equip them with lifelong skills.

This ministry will focus on
• empowering mothers training their children in the way of the Lord. (Proverbs 22:6)
• building supportive relationships .
• having a safe environment to share life struggles.
• teaching young mothers appropriate parenting and coping skills.
• encouraging these women to grow in Christ and develop leadership skills in order to go forth and help others by spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.

Listen, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD alone. And you must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. Deuteronomy 6:4-9

Lirios Del Valle was chosen as a name for this ministry due to the symbolism of the Lily and our hope for these young women to blossom and to grow in the beauty of the Lord.
We pray that the Lord will cloth them in beautiful splendor and that they will know the plans the lord has for them…..plans for good and not for disaster, to give them a future and a hope. (Jer. 29:11)

I will be to Israel like refreshing dew from heaven. Israel will blossom like the lily; it will send roots deep into the soil like the cedars in Lebanon. Its branches will spread out like beautiful olive trees, as fragrant as the cedars of Lebanon. My people will again live under my shade. They will flourish like grain and blossom like grapevines. They will be as fragrant as the wines of Lebanon. Hosea 14:5-7

And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing; yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Matthew 6:28- 30

Like a lily among thistles is my darling among young women. II Solomon 2:2

But then I will win her back once again. I will lead her into the desert and speak tenderly to her there. I will return her vineyards to her and transform the Valley of Trouble into a Valley of Hope. She will give herself to me there, as she did long ago when she was young, when I freed her from her captivity in Egypt. “When that day comes,” says the LORD, “you will call me ‘my husband’ instead of ‘my master.’” Hosea 2:14-16
